Why I built RecipeGenie

I've always been the friend who experiments — the one mixing something weird at midnight just to see if it actually tastes good. But every time I went looking for inspiration online, I hit the same wall: ten paragraphs of someone's life story, a dozen pop-ups, and an autoplay video, all before a single ingredient. The recipe was buried, and half the time it wasn't even worth the dig.
RecipeGenie is my answer to that. I wanted a place where you type in whatever you've actually got — half a lime, leftover berries, a random bottle of syrup — and get back something genuinely worth making in seconds. No sign-ups, no paywalls, no scrolling past vacation photos. Just the recipe, a card you can actually share, and the fun of finding your next favorite drink or dessert.
